• Fresh Ginger (enough to line bottom of jar)
• Fresh Lemon (ends cut off and sliced, seeds out tho this batch I have left them in)
• Organic Honey (enough to cover contents in jar)
• Jar, lid, band to your desired size. (I use a sensible size for when having tea)
After cleaning jar and lemons remove outer layer of ginger (discard). Slice ginger thin and line bottom of jar.
Cut ends off lemons and place to the side. Cut lemon in half and slice thin. Arrange to your desire in jar leaving half inch head space.
Fill jar up with honey covering lemon slice completely.
Close with lid and band.
** Refrigerated for 2 to 3 months. **
Contents will turn into a jell like substance.
To consume start off with a teaspoon of this mixture in a glass of hot water.
This batch still has seeds in as a experiment. Over time you will notice the lemons dissolving. Thus I am testing the needs.
Note on the lemon peel I had you put to the side.
I place my peels in a mason jar with water to create my stove top cleaner. :) Lemon is a great cleaning agent.
As the season moves on I will top off my tea jar with any honey or lemon that becomes excess. Ginger I may add again once. But usually don't have to.
